Hell is a shopping mall...

For the benefit tomorrow night the theme is "Spring Fever", and the Tutian ladies are wearing sundresses. I don't own a sundress - so I decided to go out on my lunch break to try to find one.

Can I tell you how much I hate shopping...particularly for clothes or shoes? Gods...could I be less feminine?!?!

I went up and down State street and saw very few things that even appealed to me. My sense of fashion (or lack thereof) is never in sync with what is trendy. I finally found one dress that looks sort of okay on me (and has lots of peacocky teal in it...which I adore) so (despite the price tag) I decided to buy it.

After waiting in line for much longer than should be expected of anyone - I gave up and put the dress back on the rack. I went to two other shops to try things on (all of which looked vomitous on me). I became crabby, and tried very hard not to have judgment about my fellow shoppers, all of whom were driving me crazy!

Defeated, I went back for the teal number, and waited 25 minutes for them to ring me up. So here I am, $64 and a lifetime later. This dress best make me look drop-dead stunning, or it is not EVEN worth it. This dress should do my dishes and rub my feet to be worth itself....

Did I mention how much I hate shopping?
